Cliff & Louise Hullinger Excited to Find Smith Village Close To All That Is Important To Them

If Cliff & Louise Hullinger were to sit down and write a story of their travels, it would most likely require several volumes. But even though these two have been to so many exotic locales, there is no place like home. That’s why the Hullingers were so thrilled to find out that Smith Village would be built right in the neighborhood they have lived in for over 50 years.
“We did research other communities, but Smith Village will be so close to our church, Mt. Greenwood Lutheran, and all of our friends that it was the best choice,” says Cliff. The Hullingers were so excited about Smith Village that they were among the first to reserve an apartment.
It takes only a few minutes in talking with the Hullingers to know that they are warm-hearted, caring people. After retiring, Cliff donated his time and expertise to a program that helped companies in less developed nations promote good business practices with the help of volunteer executives from America. The program moved them to India for three months where Louise, always eager to volunteer her time, called a local women’s school and volunteered to help teach English.
Having traveled “just about everywhere”, including all 50 states, the Hullingers have decided that they are tired of the maintenance required to take care of their home and are looking forward to moving into Smith Village. “Taking care of the yard is not getting any easier!” says Cliff, “and we wanted to make the decision before our children had to make it for us.”
With more freedom to enjoy their retirement at Smith Village, the Hullingers, who are avid bridge players, look forward to playing a few extra hands with the friends they already know that are also moving to the community, as well as with their new neighbors.
The two are looking forward to taking advantage of their spacious, two-bedroom apartment and have already planned space for a home office. “We must have our computer. Right now Cliff has one and I have one,” laughs Louise.
