Disaster Preparedness Drill
|
Smith Village staff, managers and some volunteers acting as residents participated in a Disaster Preparedness Drill. They practiced resident evacuation and communication skills, and kept accurate documentation of what happened.

Johanson Wing Dedication
|
Civic leaders, donors and residents gathered to dedicate the newly renovated Johanson Wing for skilled nursing care. Donors previewed their designated plaques (enlarged, at left). We thank Angels at Home for their sponsorship.

Fashion Show

A capacity crowd attended a luncheon-fashion show sponsored by Coldwater Creek, with Smith Village residents parading down our Dining Room runway modeling the clothes.

Dog Days of Summer
|
The third annual Dog Days of Summer celebration drew two dozen canines and their human companions - like Marilyn and Bob Stone with Meiko - to a pooch parade at Smith Village, where family pets are welcome in the Independent Living apartments.

Reminiscing Project
|
Many residents volunteered to meet one-on-one with Saint Xavier University nursing students who were honing their interviewing skills and gathered stories of residents' lives.
